Bizee's Free Agent Year Ends. $149 Starts. Minnesota's Deadline Does Not Wait.

This is a competitor's page. MN Registered Agent.org sells the Minnesota registered agent service that would replace Bizee's, at $99 a year, and that is the entire reason the page exists. The Bizee pricing quoted below is the company's own published structure as we recorded it in July 2026, and we have not editorialized the numbers.

The Bundle Is Real Money, Honestly Given

Order a formation package from Bizee, which operated under the Incfile name until it changed, and agent coverage rides along at no charge, covering three months under some tiers and a full twelve under others. That is not a gimmick. A brand new company gets a working agent during the stretch when every dollar is scarce, and the cost of the formation package does not visibly rise to cover it. Anyone forming a Minnesota LLC through Bizee and taking the included months is getting value that would cost real money bought separately. We have no interest in arguing with that.

Then the Calendar Turns

When the bundled window closes, standalone billing begins at $149 a year and continues at $149 a year. The number is published. What is not published, anywhere convenient, is the day your particular window ends, because it depends on your package tier and your formation date. Three months and twelve months are very different amounts of runway, and the first invoice tends to arrive without a countdown.

That matters more in Minnesota than most owners expect, because the state's compliance calendar has its own trap and the two can collide. Minnesota's Annual Renewal costs $0 when filed on time. Zero. It is due by December 31 each year, beginning the calendar year after you form. Miss it, though, and Minn. Stat. § 322C.0705 statutorily dissolves the LLC without further notice. No warning letter precedes it. Getting the entity back is possible and works retroactively, though the price is that year's renewal together with a reinstatement charge of $65 for mailed filings or $85 at the expedited counter and online rate.

Fifty dollars a year of difference. Not dramatic in any single year, which is precisely how a renewal sits untouched for a decade.

And One More Thing Worth Refusing

Several formation companies sell an annual report filing service as an add-on. In Minnesota, that add-on charges you a fee to submit a one-page renewal the state processes for nothing. Whatever agent you end up with, decline that line item when it appears in a package. It is the clearest example in this state of paying for the absence of an inconvenience rather than for a service.

$99 a year, and the renewal invoice says $99 because there is no expiring introductory period in the model at all. The rate includes a Minnesota registered office address standing in for yours on state filings, same-day scanning of anything a process server delivers with an email the moment it posts, portal access to every document received, and a reminder well ahead of that December 31 deadline. Checkout offers one product, so nothing accumulates in a cart while you are trying to buy a single thing.

Note the word we skipped: cheapest. BetterLegal advertises $90 annually and holds that title in Minnesota. Ours puts us in the lowest tier of flat rates here, which is a smaller claim and a true one.

Changing From Bizee to Us: What Minnesota Asks For

You file a Notice of Change of Registered Office/Registered Agent with Business Services at the Minnesota Secretary of State. Put it in an envelope and it costs $35. Send it electronically or carry it to the counter and it costs $55, since Minnesota labels both of those routes expedited service and bills for the speed.

One trap to know about: you cannot fold an agent change into the free Annual Renewal. The renewal will let you update your principal executive office address and your manager information, but the registered agent and registered office lines require their own separate filing and its own fee. Owners who assume the December filing handles everything discover otherwise in the worst possible way.

If you are keeping an agent, the successor has to be under contract before you file, because the notice asks for that agent's name and Minnesota address and will not accept a blank there. Sign first, file second, verify the record third, cancel Bizee fourth. That order leaves no window in which your public record names a service that has stopped working for you.

The best time to run this is inside the free months, not after the first $149 invoice arrives.
